Not in the least bit the same as the whole mosque thing. Trying to prevent someone from using land they purchased to build what they want is wrong. Speaking freely is not wrong.
I'll admit I didn't read much into the story and am not entirely certain if his contract with NPR was really breached. In that case, the firing would be ok. I'll still defend his right to say what he did though.
