According to the cast and crew the movie is going for the same formula used in the 1st one, being more dark and having a better story instead of just a lot of random killings like TFD

I didn't watch any of these movies and I'm probably not going to watch this one either unless I see some good promo with a good storyline/plot.

If they don't revive Alexz Johnson, I don't care.

3 and 4 were beyond awful. I hope it be on lthe level or better like the 1st and 2nd ones.

3rd and 4th aren't awful geez you guys just are picky. I like them all but of course some are weak. Movies are supposed to be entertaining not bring a pen and paper to critique it.

I watch these series for the death scenes and I'm entertained. I honestly dont care about the plot.

The 4th is awful. The other ones are good.

and I'm not very picky about movies. Most of the death scenes were very boring.

I loved the 4th. The car wash and movie theater scene were epic!

As the producer and some members of the cast said, this one is going to have a better plot and character development, also it''s gonna be more dark....it's gonna be pretty much like the first one but with better deaths
