Well, honestly I was only considering Lucy and Shenae as the teen stars. Emma Roberts has been appearing in more and more serious work and is apparently pretty promising. Hayden just ended her TV show and actually still has a pretty big fanbase from the Heroes fanboys as far as I can tell. And like her or not, Hayden is actually not that bad of an actress, despite some of the movies she's appeared in.
Not to mention the rest of the cast, such as Nico Tortorella, Marielle Jaffe, and Erik Knudson are relative unknowns just as Rose McGowan, Skeet Ulrich, Jamie Kennedy, and Matthew Lillard were when Scream premiered. Throw in Adam Brody who is a pretty good actor and solid comic relief, and Anthony Anderson who could provide that as well, as well as Mary McDonnell who was supposedly fantastic in Battlestar Galactica (never seen it personally) and Aimee Teegarden who is fantastic on Friday Night Lights, one of the best dramas of this decade IMO, and I'd say this cast isn't half bad. And I'm sure Rory Culkin isn't a bad actor, but I can't say I have personally seen him in anything that I can think of.
This is all my opinion of course.
