There was a girl at my school who hit another girl passing on a crosswalk near school 6-7 months ago. The driver panicked and fled without even getting out of her car. She almost went to jail (mostly due to the fact thar she still had pot in her system from the day before), but she was bailed out by an anonymous donor. The victim needed brain surgery and could have died, but she pulled through and is back at school this year.
