It's okay for the song to be about being who you are, that would make it awesome.
But Ke$ha and Rolling Stone said this song was about the gay teen suicides, and these lyrics have nothing to do with that in my opinion....it's just a way of garnering attention for the song, and a sad way to do that might I add.

The song is not just about the teen suicides. It is for everyone who has 'quirks', 'eccentrities', 'unique features', anything that sets them apart from the socially accepted norm - and this song is supposed to celebrate their individuality.
The GaGa stans owning the Ke$ha threads like Tik Tok owned Bad Romance

And also GaGas lyrics are no more meaningful than Ke$has
I meant Just Dance was about partying, LoveGame was about sex, Telephone was about the clubs, Alejandro.. Well I have no idea , Bad Romance was cute, and Poker Face , I have no idea either, it's ****ed, and Paparazzi is like her only meaningful single .
I think it's fake, she's only doing it to court gay support, and the song has nothing to do with gays.
However, I also think that Gaga does it party for her own benefit. As I've said before, every star does such things for their own gain, so it's not fair for Ke$ha to get attacked for this.
The only difference is that Gaga didn't wait for a huge media storm to do it. She did it before the suicides, even during her Fame debut she talked about gays all the time...before all those celebrity it-gets-better videos. Before it was the "thing to do," as it is now after all the deaths.
