The focus of the gay campaigns should be the fact that regular, straight-acting males can be gay too. Having ONLY feminine/queeny males in the video only reinforces the stereotype for the conservatives who might watch this vid and can even increase the dislike for such behavior from them.

The ideas in these videos are creative and praiseworthy, but some elements should be reconsidered.

I can totally see a conservative person looking at this and going: "fck you, ******s". These videos, with all that "gay swagger" can do more harm than good.

The videos where certain well-respected gay individuals talk about their experiences are much more powerful, since they personalize the case and leave room to almost no hate. I just watched this video today (was posted on Yahoo! main page), where a gay city counselor in Texas talks about his experience, very emotional. Here's the link:

There were errors in their approach though. Telling someone/people who believe in something to get the **** over it isn't the best to bring about any kind of change. If anything it inflames the situation and stalls progress.
