JYJ's "The Beginning" has sold over 520,000 in WW PRE-ORDERS

On October 14th, JYJ’s album distributors, Warner Music Korea, revealed, “Out of the limited number of 99,999 special albums we produced, we have received over 300,000 pre-orders for their special album, and 220,000 for their regular album. Because of this, it has been taking some time trying to coordinate the demand and supply to various stores. Today will be the first time the album will be on sale for the fans, while the special album will be released later on the [October] 18th.”

Holy ****. That's enough to be a gold album in the US. In PRE-ORDERS. This **** is gonna sell 1.5 mil in its first week.
So? Sales are sales regardless of where they're coming from. I never implied once that they were from the US.
This 8-track album is more of a present for their international fans than a true attempt at breaking the US market.

& these sales are no surprise. They're huge in both Japan & Korea so I wouldn't expect any less tbh.
