It's not that, it's just that I tend to endeavor in recreation in phases. Right now I'm primarily addicted to J-pop and some K-pop, (hence Ayumi, my J-pop fav). You'll also notice that I'm not listening to much western music at all.
To further elaborate, when I first discovered Ayumi I was obsessed for couple months, and then I slowly began to take a break from her because I was getting into Britney again (this was around the time Britney was coming back with Blackout). I continued to gradually ease away from Ayu and ease back onto Britney until the Circus era, during which I was completely back onto Britney. But then during the Circus era I released my hold on Britney and got hooked onto Beyonce. Then I stanned for Bey and played her nonstop all the way until the end of the IASF era. All during this time I wasn't engaging in much Ayu media, but then after the IASF era was over, I was neutral regarding my stanning. I would play some Bey, some Britney, some Ayu, some PLAY (there was also a period of Play obsessiveness because they were coming back with a new album and era), and I also played a lot of other stuff. Now recently I've gotten hooked back onto Ayu big time (and since Ayu is always working, there's always active stanning that can be done, in comparison, passive stanning would be when an artist is on break), and during this time is when I created my last.fm. So, it's not that I like Ayu more than Bey, it's that I'm going through an Ayu (and J/K pop in general) phase at this time. When Bey comes back from break (soon enough

) I'll be right back in her court again.
I also do the same thing with anime and video games. There will be times when I'm primarily a gamer and anime gets put on the back burner, then I'll just end up switching, and anime takes the forefront while gaming brings up the rear.
