I wouldn't say it 'derailed' her career, but looking at the overall Stripped album it's somewhat true that from the standpoint of artistic direction, 'Dirrty', as a lead single and therefore represantation of the album, is rather misleading.

Nevertheless, it is iconic, no doubt.

I completely agree with you. People here may don't like Christina, but at least they should give the credit where it's due.

I think Christina's career-defining videos are Dirrty, Beautiful and Fighter. Although BTB has some of my favorite music videos from her.
