Rather than simply playing tracks from the album, Kanye played the 45 minute film that he created which featured 7 of the tracks from the forth-coming album.
After the 45 minute film was shown, Kanye hosted a Q&A which was only supposed to be 5 questions, but actually turned into an hour long session. He answered every single question, and encouraged people to get involved and participate.
It was a invaluable experience for any Ye’ stan, and a truly inspiring evening.
It’s clear that Kanye is constantly evolving as an artist and creator.
His passion and vision for creating art is far bigger than Hip-Hop. He actually said that as an individual you only have 80 to 90 years to make an impact in a lifetime. He isn’t wasting any time at all.
I’m not sure if all of his original fans will be able to keep up up with him, as Kanye stays being that unpredictable, creative work in progress, in the flesh.
Watching the film, its clear that he has another smash album on his hands. It’s basically ‘808’s & College Graduation’.
Amongst many things,
Kanye revealed the following:
*He helped Nicki Minaj with her verse on Monster over a 4 day period.
*’So Appalled’ is his favourite G.O.O.D. Friday release so far.
*He wasn’t giving anything away re. this weeks G.O.O.D. Friday leak.
*I’m hearing that only 1 of the G.O.O.D. Friday leaks actually appear on the album.
*He is finishing of the Jay & Ye album in France at the end of this month.
*Bon Iver is on 9 tracks of the finished album.
*Alicia Keys performed some of the vocals on ‘Lost in The World’.
*He wants to tour the new album across the world and eventually perform a show in Egypt by the Pyramids.
*The CRS project is still on the cards.
