3lw was never relevant. PCD were never that popular in terms of album sales. they had 4 massive hits and they only had a platinum certification. Their second album as a whole was forgetable.
Destiny''s Child were already semi popular, but U HAVE to remember all the publicity they had recieved when that drama went down. Not to mention, they had the smash singles to go with it. The album wasn't flopping or anything., But that really did give them the extra push into mainstream. They were literally making cover stories because of the ever changing group lineup. Saying the writings on the wall sold massively just because of Beyonce is foolery.
Smash Singles + Major Publicity= Hit album.
Your equation at the bottom is what I was trying to say. I'm just saying Beyoncé was at the helm of said publicity.
