If i recall correctly, which i do, you came in here making a statement that read as religious superiority (i'll find the post later) so...................yeah

I was actually stating something that I felt applied to my life personally...I said "A life without God is like no life at all"....that's how I feel, but you don't have to agree.
You even questioning my beliefs and trying to prove everything wrong is complete disrespect.

It wasn't until the 16th Century that the Catholic Church finally allowed this previous "pagan anathema" to be included in the celebration of the Birth of Jesus. Once again, the Church had to cave in to the cultural demands of its flock, just like in the Apollonius saga when they co-opted the Roman holiday commemorating the Birth of Mithras and made it the official Birth of Lord Jesus Christ. At any rate, the tradition of a "Yule Tree" or "Solstice Tree" long pre-dated the time of "Jesus" and the Catholic Church. There can be no doubt that their origin lies in a "pagan" remembrance of a time when there was a Cosmic Tree, a home of "Gods", connected by a "Rainbow Bridge" to our "Northland Vigrid Plain".
|
It began because people still held on to pagan traditions.

Despite what your religion may have you believe, theres nothing diserspectful about asking questions...
I ask my catholic mother, father, and various other family members religious questions all the time. Also, quotes from the bible are axactly that...i didn't write it so don't be mad at me...

I'll do something better
Below is an indvivual confused on how to carry out the actions detailed in Leviticus, including actual passages from leveiticus.... One word, EPIC
Quote:
4.. Lev. 25:44 states that I may indeed possess slaves, both male and female, "Your male and female slaves are to come from the nations around you; from them you may buy slaves.” Provided they are purchased from neighboring nations. A friend of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans, but not Canadians. Why can't I own Canadians?
5.. I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath --- Exodus 35:2. “2 For six days, work is to be done, but the seventh day shall be your holy day, a Sabbath of rest to the LORD . Whoever does any work on it must be put to death.” The passage clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself?

Laws concerning priests/the Sons of Aaron and their conduct, and possible prohibiting factors of being a priest such as prohibitions against the disabled, the permanently ill (anyone who: suffers from dwarfism, has poor eyesight, is hunchbacked, has damaged testicles, has a flat nose, etc.), and the superfluously blemished. Similar requirements are issued for animals that are to be sacrificed. (Leviticus 21–22)

I am not Christian, but I'm not atheist. I'll just quote the all knowing Celestial:

On the other hand, I cannot accept that we are here by mistake. I believe in the big bang theory, and of course I believe in evolution etc but I can't accept that a world so complicated could have been created by accident. I think it's a perfect example of human ignorance/arrogance that some people deem ourselves to being superior to everything else. Some people really do have a superiority complex. I most definitely do people in higher authorities, people have their doubts in what they believe in but for me I feel pretty certain. Ultimately, as long as everyone treats each other with respect then I don't think we can go wrong. It doesn't bother me what someone else chooses to believe in, everyone has the right to their own opinion and diversity is what makes this world what it is. I hope that in future society will be more harmonious and that differentiating views will not cause the conflict that we have currently come to expect. I think everyone just needs to be more open-minded, is that too much to hope for?

Do you still claim to be Christian?
