Calvin Harris and Frankmusik are great representation of male electropop, and where are the from? UK, and they are succesful there.

It is possible for a male to become the biggest act in electro pop. The problem is that almost all the male celebs are alike and too boring to take any interest in them compared to their female counterparts. Not one stands out. There are reasons why Michael Jackson is the king a pop and one of those reasons is that he stood out like soar thumb from other pop artists. In other words he was INTERESTING. Jackson took many risks and shocked his audiences in the 80s. He always found one way or another to stand out from the crowd either by they way he dressed, always creating mind blowing over the top music videos (his videos in the 80s were viewed as such, kind of like Gaga makes over the top music videos today), signature dance moves, he always found something to add to his name and keep his fans on their toes always waiting for his next big move. Jackson understood the power of performance art and that is why he was so theatrical. Today all the male celebs are dull to watch... I'm just not taken by their performances. They try to be hard, they just walk around (hardly any dancing), they dress in suits or jeans. ITS NORMAL AND PLAIN! THAT IS NOT POP! Pop is fun, upbeat, costumes! dancing! acting! Its over the top! Females on the other hand are fun to watch because they go by Jackson's concepts. We need a male pop star who is not afraid to stand out from the crowd! And be unafraid of what the public will think of him.

I was never a fan of Michael but

And...of anything...I would so be the next male pop star who isn't afraid to stand out of the crowd.
