So, the last few days I've been thinking about this for all kind of reasons and I think I've finally understand why it's no longer that much fun for me over here.
Yeah, I gotta admit, I'm still hooked on this site and probably will take a really long time till I will leave, if ever but when I first join the site, it was way more fun to be here.

So what went wrong?

The main thing I think messed this site up wasn't the fact most epic members of 08'/09' left/became really way less active or just didn't give a damn anymore cuz' truth to be told, some of the newer members had what it takes to keep this site entertaining enough.
It was the overall atmosphere that the site get.

Mostly cuz' of the new members TBH.

We used to get down and dirty with each other's fav's and we pushed the limits like a thing called a report button was never there...Yeah, some of us went a little too far and got banned from now and than but look at the site now!
Just write a fact like the sales of Christina's latest flopping sales numbers and add a shadey smile to it, REPORTED!And I'm not even talking about purely coming for other's wig.

Everyone is so pressed, so unfriendly...No wonder we doesn't seem to be having any major member banned, everyone knows the minute you say something funny about someone else's fav' you won't get dragged, you will get reported.

And if that's coming from a member who got stuck with a nickname like NickLacheyFan [the only account I mange to make active, it was like the third I tried ] which means starting a darg from an inferiority position but who cares?It was so much fun.

I think it's time for a change in people's attitude and the poor mods, but this could help mods too, they need to start give warning points for bitches who decided to get a relationship with the report button.

Well, that is my version, I might be wrong but I've been here for what?over 2 years now, def' not as much as some of you but def' enough to get an opinion on this...


Oh and if you think this is too long, than I'm sorry that your little brains can't handle that much info?So here's a not that hard thing to get...Just , it will make both of our lifes easier

I completely agree about the report button thing. ATRL has become way to scared to say someting nasty outside of NHB and SYG.

More like if they want to say something nasty they go to NHB or SYG. It ruins the fun (and I always miss everything).

^ Lol, I never go to the NHB and SYG so I miss it too and if I have a fight there and I like, gtg, it's so busy sometimes that I just don't care cuz' I won't start going 100 pages back.

Nothing like this will happen in ATRL now without 100 members getting warning points and mods having way more work.

It's a forum, it will change with new members and no-one makes you come online here.

I don't tend to be nasty, but if i feel like joking around or playful insulting someone i will do it anyway. As long as you don't troll i think you can say what you want and not get reported. I have very few warnings.

I get that, and I mean no disrespect to anyone else when I say that there is no point complaining about something so much, and by no means is it you, so many people complain about this. I just figure if you don't enjoy a website why would you still go to it.

Websites will change, people will leave and join and it isn't right to complain about that. It would be worse if a whole pile of people left and no-one joined. Just because a member is new doesn't mean they ruined the website

Exactly. I don't feel like reading pages upon pages of responses to see what the heck happened. I can't even go into RT because things move so quickly in that thread. I agree that SYG and NHB are necessary but it had killed the other threads, which are not interesting whatsoever at all these days.

But as much as I get your point, it's human nature to look back, see the old good things and want them to be back.

I acknowlage it won't be back but it doesn't mean we should live with the way things are cuz' TBH, it's kinda messed up right now, I still have fun but people need to quit with the report button cuz' there are more whining there than "people whining on how things were better back than".

I totally agree about RT thread, I posted there like 4 posts and I couldn't keep up with it and see if someone responded there, god, it's too huge.

Not that I think RT is a bad thing, it definitely cleaned up SYG a bit - but NHB is so abandoned these days. I need me some royalace.

Well you should take into account that it doesn't mean all new users are bad. I've only reported posts twice, and both for very good reasons. I have never threatened to report someone and know how to take a joke.

Just don't blame all the new members, the members who I see threatening people with the report button have been around for a good year or more.

RT is horrible, it's mostly ****. One time I went in to try and have a decent conversation and they started posting pictures of dicks without warning tags to try and scare me off. Just childish and unnecessary

People are forgeting a forum is a place where you can write and find opinions... mostly, different opinions =)
