Cheryl could become a huge star in the US, this show is going to open up some huge opportunities for her. Nicole has already had chances, she has never delivered.

PCD are worldwide, Sugababes/Girls Aloud are not.

What else does "she" have to do?
Oh, and your most recent post in this thread was FLAMEBAIT CENTRAL. Calm that down.

That is a FAIL lineup.
I want:
Justin Timberlake (or Harry Connick Jr)
Shania Twain
Patti Labelle
& Simon Cowell

I love how people say that nobody knows these people, so it's stupid to have them be judges.
Yeah, because all of American knew EXACTLY who Simon Cowell and Randy Jackson were when American Idol started.

She's gonna have to promote her brand new future #1 smash album, and her future #1 single 'Poison.'
I'll be a good boy.

LA Reid is rumored to be in talks with Simon to become a judge. I think he'll be a good choice but I want one of the male judges to be an artist and I'm sure there will be 2 males, 2 females.

No... she would be like Paula without the drugs. Too nice to every contestant. Plus it would be pathetic IMO. Janet has sunk pretty low, but that would be a new one.

At least Girls Aloud are successful in their target market, the Dolls on the other hand have spread themselves far too thin and as a result never really managed to dominate in any specific market. There's nothing memorable about them, their catalog of hits is rather limited. Girls Aloud have notched up 20 consecutive top ten hits in the UK and as a result of that they will never be forgotten. They are the greatest female pop group of all time. PCD are employed by their record company on a contractual basis, they are a brand not a band. Much like the Sugababes, the line-up can be changed at will and there's nothing Nicole and her props can do about it. Another factor in measuring a Celebrities' success is by monitoring their earnings, Cheryl is worth far more than Nicole. She has a bright future ahead of her and is guaranteed success in Europe, Nicole on the other hand... Well, at least she has Lewis' money to fall back on.

Greatest female pop group? mmmmm Spice Girls slay GA and every other girl pop group. In the end of the day Nicole (PCD) are WW, and have toured around the world,GA? Nope. I agree with the line-up being changed is a brand thing, but Nicole is STILL the lead. LMAOOO @ Nicole falling back on another mans money Nicole doesn't need a man! I'm pretty sure she's getting paid for all the reality shows, countless magazine covers, and she's still got her PCD money. Not to mention her upcoming future #1 smash 'Poison.'

The Spice Girls were more successful than GA, I don't debate the impact they made and their everlasting status as cultural Icons. In terms of the quality of their work, GA > Spice Girls. Most critics would agree, GA are always critically praised. The Spice Girls as much as I loved them were never able to prove themselves to be more than a fad, they didn't last long enough in the industry. I was a huge fan of theirs, went to their concert etc But I was really young, the majority of their fans were.
From what I have heard Nicole didn't get paid all that much from the PCD. Her earnings were set by their record company, their success wasn't a factor in her pay. If she can land a role on the X Factor then I'm sure it will dwarf any earnings she has made in the past. Cheryl has her income from GA, her successful solo career, L'Oréal, and The X Factor. I won't include the numerous magazine covers she would have been paid for, that's just an added bonus. We'll see how Nicole will fair with "Poison"... but if it flops, well, at least she won Dancing with the Stars!

Well we don't know how much Nicole got paid for PCD, but I agree that if she lands X Factor it would obviously be a great pay check. DWTS was an obvious win for Nicole, I mean she's an awesome dancer. Oh well, we won't know how Poison will do until it gets released. One question, why haven't Cheryl/ GA released music outside of the UK?

I think they got lazy. It's always easy for them to release in the UK because they are already an established act, they came from a reality show and that guaranteed them success early on. They had to work hard to maintain it, but it would be totally different for them in another market. They never spend much time promoting and in order to do well elsewhere that would be a must. Had the US market been more pop-oriented when they were starting out then I'm sure they would have released there. It's never easy for UK acts in the US. They might release there in future if Cheryl can establish herself, but in all honesty, even if she does I can't see it happening. They're very comfortable with how things are.
