At least Cheryl has a successful career. Nicole is 32 and she is yet to establish herself as a solo artist. The music industry is extremely ageist, if she doesn't score a hit soon then she never will.

Of course they would choose Nicole if they didn't know who Cheryl was. If they are both on the X Factor then I'm sure things will be different. To a large extent peoples perception of beauty is defined by what the media tells them, if the media says so and so is beautiful then most people would agree.

I agree with the ageist comment, but I don't agree with her not having a successful career. She's the vocalist for PCD, which is a very successful group. Just because she hasn't made it 'solo' doesn't mean she isn't successful. Plus, she won dancing with the stars, she's very multi-talented. I also agree with the public siding with the media, that's always happened, but there are a lot of women that are ethnically ambiguous that are very beautiful and are used for a lot of beauty commercials.

Her success with the Pussycat Dolls, DWTS, RENT and now X Factor makes up to her lack of success as a solo artist!
But thats in the past now, because she's coming HARD with POISON!!!! 
Oh, and by going through X Factor forums, the majority of fans(in the UK) have said that Nicole would make a better judge than Cheryl.
and that she stands out more as a judge!

The PCD were very successful. They didn't do as well as expected with their last effort. Dancing With The Stars is a show for hasbeens. It's not exactly prestigious, nothing to boast about. It has absolutely nothing to do with her music career.

The internet is full of delusional people as I'm sure you already know, I couldn't care less about what some bitter chavs on the X factor forum have said about Cheryl. She will remain the darling of the UK, her new song will be a #1 and her album will more than likely be certified 3x platinum when she releases it just like her first one. Call me when Nicole is relevant enough to get a release date for hers.

PCD still managed to get 2 top 20's and a top 10 hit on the Hot 100, not as successful, but it was something. And DWTS might be a show for hasbeens, but it sure as hell showed off her dancing, and it wasn't just some regular day to day club dancing. Since she came in first I would definitely boast about such an achievement. I mean Nicole can sing AND dance. I agree it didn't do anything for singing career, but it sure showed her as just Nicole, w/o the PCD, it got her name out there and I think it helped.

It's a potential platform from which she can launch her career from. She needs to act swiftly and take advantage of the hype while her win is still fresh, people forget things like that quickly. I'm not her biggest fan and never will be but I wish her the best, I'm genuinely surprised she hasn't scored a solo hit when she basically sings every line on the PCD songs. We'll see what will happen.

Aight. Celestial, bitch lets just wait and see how well will poison do in the charts. Maybe it will be as successful as Nobody can change me  . I just liked Nicole with PCD and their first album. Then it became all bout Nicole and i was ughhh.
and IMO this pic explains it all. Cheryl's more recognized for her beaty while Nicole is more recognized for her body.

They put Cheryl on the cover of every UK magazine because they have no other to put! Like Jordan, who is on the cover of OK!(UK) every week!
While in the US there are so many artist!
