I was so happy when I got my laptop. 2 GB of RAM, 220 GB of space, $360... I haven't used my desktop in months, but I hooked it up yesterday to configure my router.

Please, my previous desktop was made in 1997 and I got it in 1999. It lasted until 2006 before it just died. I think I can still revive the hard drive though. Computers are a lot more resistant that you think. My old desktop was a Packard Bell and had a 6 gig hard drive.
Macs are wonderful machines but I tend to think they're a bit overpriced. The battery has given out TWICE. Without warranty, you're looking at a 130.00 fix. Otherwise, nice machine. IT's great for media and all, but for basic stuff, you should get something cheaper. Macs seem more for the hardcore gamers/graphic artists.
