NEW YORK (CBS) Lindsay Lohan may be returning to "Saturday Night Live" this December for another turn as host.
The actress, recently freed from a stint in jail and court-ordered rehab, is reportedly in talks to host the Dec. 4 episode of the sketch comedy show, according to newspaper reports.
The report in Daily News.comes after Lohan made her first post-jail appearance in a taped segment at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, during which she made fun of her recent troubles.
"You think anyone wants to work with a drunk?" she demanded of host Chelsea Handler. "Take it from me - they don't."
An "SNL" spokeswoman told the Daily News, "We never comment on upcoming hosts until they're announced."
If the deal goes through, this will be Lohan's third time on "SNL." She served as host of the May 1, 2004, episode, and again on April 16, 2006.
The new season of "SNL" begins Sept. 25, with host Amy Poehler and musical guest Katy Perry.
This is what she needs. Hopefully they will come up with a sketch that takes a few jabs at her personal troubles, cause I think the public would eat it up and be more accepting of Lindsay as long as she's willing to have a little fun with her personal life.
I think this would be great! The VMA skit made me finally like her again and it was a start at redeeming herself from all this ******** that's going on!
Hmmm... I might be looking forward to this: He previous hosting gigs DID give us that "Neutrogena Coin Slot" commercial skit and the "Debbie Downer" skit where everyone broke character and started laughing their asses off. Plus, it's always nice seeing someone pull their **** together:
