Before I became an Avril stan back in 02-03 I use to be huge britney fan since 2000 BUT first I didn't like that much her album at the time it was her 3rd one 'Britney' and after the thing she did in mexico and see everyone talking **** about her (that was something new at that time) I got dissapointed plus I remember she did it on the day of my birthday! then suddenly exactly at that time summer 2002 Avril Lavigne appear!! wayy more successful, with a cooler image, attitude, better songs everything that I need for artist by that time as a 12 year old teen that's when I fall in love with her! and still, no matter this latest years I didn't get anything from her.
ohhh and also the 'anti-britney' thing in Avril helps me to love her more and hate more on britney.
then with Britney well.. we all see how she TOTALLY went down and her 'comeback' didn't surprise me sooooo that's why she's the artist I use to love and then not anymore.
Hm, I always give artists a chance unless they just drop the ball. I think if anything Beyonce & Avril. The Best Damn Thing is such a ****** album now, and was complete 180 of how amazing Under My Skin was. Don't know what happened to her.
Then, I was major Beyonce stan in 2003, her debut is still great. B'Day, I have a love/hate for. Sometimes it's epic, others I find some things I don't necessarily enjoy about. But she totally lost me with Sasha Fierce. The ballads side seems so contrived, then the Sasha side is just embarrassing. I also don't like the image, leotards, chair choreography/hair whips. Not the Beyonce I'm used to.
I still like both artists, and hope they can rekindle my love with their next projects though.
I used to really like Avril Lavigne, but she hasn't done anything interesting in a long time. Maybe if she can bring with her next album, she'll win back my fandom.
why should I stopped liking an artist? I don't see any sense there but whatever! xD
