She's already made her inimitable mark on the music world, and now the all-conquering Lady Gaga is branching out into beauty, with her very first signature fragrance.
And if it's anything like her style choices, we're guessing eau de Gaga won't be your typical celebrity scent...
Following in the footsteps of the likes of Sarah Jessica Parker and Kate Moss, the Lady has teamed up with beauty giant Coty to develop her debut perfume, which is due to launch in spring 2012.
So what to expect from the ever-eccentric singer? No details have been confirmed as yet, but you can guarantee whatever Gaga has in store, it'll certainly pack a punch.
Rumors started in July that Lady Gaga was involved in developing a scent, which, according to insiders, would have an extremely "unusual" fragrance. It would be backed by a heavyweight marketing campaign, including TV ads. The perfume would be produced and marketed by Coty Inc., which also makes Kate by Kate Moss.
Coty Inc. quickly denied the rumors saying, “I know nothing of this project," and “It is a totally false rumor."
But this time it's for real. Coty Beauty division recently announced Lady Gaga has entered "a long-term licensing deal" with them and the first women’s scent is expected to be launched in spring 2012. Describing her as a “phenomenon,” they see the singer as “a fascinating cultural force" who is capable of electrifying the fragrance market.
Here's the full story if anyone cares. There's likely to be commercials.
