When Rihanna does what she does it's either in concert or in photoshoot. Those are two times that are acceptable. Why? Because she is in character. She is portraying art. She is being part of the art that she wants to sell.

On the other hand, Lady GaGa has decided that she needs to dress like a ***** all the time and this sends a message to young girls that they can, themselves, emulate that style of dress as they feel, when they feel.

I get your point, but Lady GaGa is a character who emulates freedom. What's wrong with that? Lady GaGa is different. Rihanna, on the other hand, is much more careful of her daily life. She doesn't bring what she's doing on stage to regular places such as the streets, unlike Lady GaGa. I don't get the point of calling her a terrible role model just because she decided to walk along the streets in her own choice of wear.

OK, so you made me sympathize with you because of your first comment. I get the whole freedom thing.. it's cool. But idk.. I called her a bad role model because there are some girls that will assume that this is the kind of thing you can wear everyday and that's just not right - freedom or no freedom. I understand from GaGa's POV.. yes.. she's in her character but it just doesn't work very well when it comes to setting an example.. she can be sexy without being whorish, if you get my idea. I would save this get-up for a video.
