Just a few weeks ago, we brought you a report that Emma Roberts (Scream 4), Teresa Palmer (I Am Number Four), Imogen Poots (Centurion), Ophelia Lovibond (London Boulevard), and Lily Collins (Priest) were vying for the leading lady role in director Marc Webb‘s forthcoming Untitled Spider-Man Reboot starring Andrew Garfield.

That report was followed by an anonymous rumor that we were sent about Dominique McElligott (The Guard) having already landed the role of Gwen Stacy.

Now, via an interview that The Globe and Mail conducted with NHL hockey player Mike Comrie, who happens to be the husband of Hilary Duff, it was revealed that Hilary Duff (The Story of Bonnie and Clyde) could be in the running for a role in Sony’s upcoming Untitled Spider-Man Reboot.

The interview apparently took place at Hilary Duff’s Hollywood home, where the interviewer discovered a script entitled Spider-Man on their table.

“The kitchen contains evidence of their professional lives – his daily diet is posted on the fridge (from a bacon cheddar burrito for breakfast to five pigs-in-a-blanket as a nighttime snack) and a script marked Spiderman sits on the table, with lines for a character simply called “girl” highlighted in yellow (rumours swirl about who Spidey’s love interest will be in the series’ next instalment.)”

The as yet Untitled Spider-Man Reboot is slated to hit theaters on July 3rd, 2012.

I had actually heard about these rumours, but I had no idea where they came from, apparently as the article says during an interview in her home, the interviewer discovered a script for Spiderman, and it's no surprise that the character is just called "girl" since the details of the movie are being kept in secret so far...it might be Gwen Stacy or Felicia Hardy...who knows!

Well she is an actress first and foremost. That is where her heart is at, yes we all love her most as a singer, but acting is what's going to get her somewhere imo. Because she's already established herself as a singer, so she now is establishing herself as an actress which is what she needs to do in my opinion.

I'm not a huge fan of her music (though I like Reach Out and With Love) so as far as I'm concerned it's good that she's back into acting and in a film that's almost guaranteed to be a hit
