I mean japan has second largest music market for a reason.
With Kpop I like it but it's hard for anyone to stand out to me. It's been the same thing since I started listening to it a year ago.

I like K-pop better most of the time because it's catchier and hits harder, I have to be in a certain mood for J-pop, other than Utada who is just immaculate 100% of the time.
But I agree that most K-pop sounds the same. I wish there was more variety.

Also, IMO the Japanese language is much more pleasant on the ears than the Korean language is.
& I've said this a thousand times over but I'll say it again: 99.9% of Korean ballads are absolutely horrid

Are you kidding me? K-Pop is known worldwide for a lot of artists. Japan only has Ayumi, Utada, Namie & Koda. Japan is known for the rock, not the pop, sorry

Whick K-Pop artists have a big worldwide following exactly?
K-Pop just recently started getting popular outside of Korea.
None of the current K-Pop acts besides maybe BoA have the huge worldwide followings of Ayu, Utada, etc.
Lukitoo, you and your broken english aren't making any sense

Babe, I won't low down to your level
Just saying that if u ask someone about Korean music, they will remember the pop artists (SNSD, BoA, Wonder Girls...)
If u ask about Japanese music, they will remember rock, pop, or ballads....

I'm not sure J/K-Pop is known in Europe period. Not even Utada, although she was huge .
And what if Meisus tried to go American and was actually successful? Egg in Japan's face.

K-pop is like one genre and that is it, they are largely influenced by the american music industry. J-pop has much more variety and includes multiple genres. You can always find an artist from japan which will fit your taste.
Thought I'd share my view on this
