Yes lol Kumi didn't get a #1 studio album until her 5th album.(unless you count Best: First Things)

and she didn't get a #1 single until 20th single "you".(5 years after she debuted)

It's true though, Utada isn't that good doing R&B

But I love her music, her style is really unique.

Utada's roots were in R&B and the Japanese gave her the best-selling album in Japan EVA and the biggest first-week sales of an album WORLDWIDE.

I guess the Japanese disagree with you and Radio because both of those albums were primarily R&B
