I'm not denying that but u can't deny that her career didn't blow up massively after the scandal. All the pity awards were so beyond annoying and made her overrated which made me really sick of her.

He should stay far away from Taylor Swift! Make peace and hug and leave the scene, If not he's asking for his career to be over commercially. Taylor is huge and very much liked in mainstream media! Kanye is asking for it with all of this extra ****! LEAVE HER ALONE and do your thing and kill these other rappers tryna take your spot! Taylor, GaGa & Beyonce were the it girls of 2009. By September, Taylor was already at such an immense level of popularity, you couldn't go anywhere without hearing about her.

The incident gave her extra publicity, but I don't think the effects were longterm. We already knew she was nice & forgiving before the VMAs.

A lot of those awards were fan voted, so I'm not sure if they were "pity awards." The Grammys are like the only ones that hold a good debate, but even AOTY was kinda foreseeable for Taylor.
