Just on the arrival of Jennifer's new single "Good Hit" in which Jennifer uses some much over produced auto-tune, many people thought of T-Pain instantly.
But is T-Pain where it all began?
In statement a few years ago from T-Pain himself:
Quote:
"T-Pain, who is currently working on his third album, “Thr33 Ringz,” spoke to me on the phone from his studio in Miami. He first heard the Auto-Tune effect on a song by Jennifer Lopez—he doesn’t remember which one—and borrowed it for a mixtape appearance in 2003."
Time Magazine reported that Cher was the first person to ever use auto tune. I remember reading it. Although people did use vocoders but those provided different effects than auto tune.
Yeah, the 'CHER-EFFECT' was first, and became like the biggest selling single ever. I remember hearing the voice and not knowing who it was, til I got internet in 2003. So sit.
