FYI, Carrie co-writes a number of her songs. She knows she's not an intellectual, that's why she uses outside help. Just because something is 100% personal doesn't necessarily mean it's artistic or translates into good music. Without her producers, Taylor Swift is just another ordinary girl plucking her guitar while reciting her diary after all.

I take those reviews with a grain of salt. There's obviously some bias due to Taylor's star power. Personally though, I'd take Carrie's one-dimensional personality any day over Taylor's obnoxious attempts at pathos.
