Exactly. But its not like she has been huge singles-wise anyway. She's been flopping since With Love and somehow she's still relevant enough for people to give her one more chance. Of course she must come up with something VERY GOOD to get back on track and aim for a bigger audience.

All she needs is a good producer a some fresh ideas. She should inspire from Nelly Furtado, Kylie Minogue and Mariah Carey. They totally reinvented themselves after everyone thought they were done.

Even if she comes with something good I still think it'll be hard for her to have a hit again...but you never know, all we can do is wait

I know Haylie wants her to come back to music, she said that in a interview so maybe that'll be a motivation for her to go back to the studio.

Agreed. I still think she has potential to come out with good music and it's funny because her last WW single was "With Love" and she's been on a music hiatus for 2 years; it's hard to grasp that's she's barely 22! Starting with her first record, she always followed up that release a year later, and so I think it's made people miss her and yes I hate that her music absence has been so long. She's said in interviews she loves music because of the expression and passion she can put into it, and so I GET WHY she's put music on the back burner because she hasn't been ready to really dive in to making a record. I DON'T AGREE her break should have been so long, but I understand and I respect her for not just recording a bunch of songs to make a quick buck because she can and taking her own music seriously, hence taking her time.

I just don't get it, honestly, it seems like she just doesn't care about her musical career anymore and that scares me. A LOT.

She has a beautiful voice and her music is always good, Dignity wasn't as successful as her previous albums but it wasn't a flop either, With Love was a moderate hit, why wouldn't she want to come back?

I think about that a lot too. For 5 years all her music was handled by the worst record company in the business, so that might have to do with it She's not completely blameless, there's been so many chances for her to come out and do something musical, but she's passed. 'Elixir' comes out in a few weeks and I'm pretty positive of a book tour, so hopefully during the promotion for that project, she'll talk about music.

I hope so. I'm kinda happy for her, but a book isn't what the world wants from her. You can ask ANY of her fans and they'll you they want Hilary to stay away from the cameras for a while to go back to the recording studio.

I'm still her fan, but I've became a fan because of HER MUSIC. I think she's a good actress but I always liked her more as a singer...I can't keep waiting forever.

I think Hilary will do fine if she signs to a great supporting label.
The complete opposite of Hollywood Records would do.

With all honestly, if Hilary wasn't screwed over by them, I think she would be close to being the next Britney. 2 singles per album, comeon Hollywood Records.

My theory is that she hasn't signed with a label because she's scared she might get screwed over again. She said she was starting the album back in December 2008 and nothing! I bet she has probably written a bunch of songs though.

Men! I pretty much agree on most of the comments here, she has a lot to give to the music industry, but as Itsuky said, she looks like she doesn't care about music anymore, and I don't get it 'cuz she's sold 13 million albums, what label wouldn't want her? And she just got married, that's a great inspiration in my opinion! She should put her acting career on hiatus a little while to foocus on music, or at least she should aim for big roles in mainstream movies

I do hope she can be enthusiastic to record music again. Flop or not, I'll always support her.

I know right? I mean it's okay if she wants to focus on her acting career but she's only doing indie movies instead of some big iconic role. I would want to come back to music instead of that.
