Exactly. That's how I figured out 106 & Park was fake. It was taped a day or two before it aired, and Free from 106 & Park said it. Plus, I have family who has been on both shows and said that both are orchestrated the same way.
I remember one of Britney's videos didn't reach #1 until its retirement date.  If that ain't a sign of that show being rigged, then I don't know what is.

California Gurls would've been #1 until August. Right now, LTWYL would be #1.
Bad Romance & Telephone would've done amazing on ATRL.

First off, if TRL was still on the air. They would have probably post live tweets from people on Twitter while playng the videos.
Videos that I THINK would have retired:
Lady Gaga- Poker Face
Lady Gaga- Bad Romance
Justin Bieber- Baby
Beyonce- Single Lades
Katy Perry- California Gurls
B.o.B F/ Hayley Williams- Airplanes
Eminem F/Rihanna- Love The Way You Lie
Adam Lambert- Whatya Want From Me
Videos that would have probably had a good run, but would not make it to retirement:
La Roux- Bulletproof
Cascada- Evacuate The Dancefoor
Christina Aguilera- Not Myself Tonight
Eminem- Not Afraid (replaced by Love the way you lie)
Lady Gaga- Paparazzi
Miley Cyrus- Can't Be Tamed
Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Ke$ha and Katy Perry would have the dominated the countdown, if TRL was still on.

That show is more rigged thanTRL ever was.
They try so hard to get certain artist from retiring.
