Christina Aguilera has been forced to accept private gigs after canceling her tour due to poor ticket sales.
The singer, whose latest album Bionic was the lowest-selling number one record in UK chart history, slashed the price of her performances.
An insider said: "Christina's performing at Bar Mitzvahs and weddings. She wanted to charge £1.3 million a time but her hubby Jordan Bratman convinced her to lower it to £157,000 so she'll get more gigs."
Aguilera is said to be blaming Lady GaGa for her lack of success.
The source continued: "Christina thinks fans saying she's 'GaGa lite' has thwarted her success. They've slammed her latest image as a poor imitation."
Aguilera has previously dismissed reports of a feud between the pair, stating: "I have absolutely nothing against Lady GaGa or any other female artist in this business.
"I think she is great, and I appreciate any woman fearless enough to go against the norm."

Regardless, Christina brought all of this onto herself...she has criticized and bashed - not just her music peers - but herself into career lows. She needs a slice of humble pie and some good soul searching to rebrand her career and genre.

What she needs to do is make a 2011 album with some surefire hits on it. I mean hit singles that are more than 90% garaunteed to do well on the charts.

It's too late for her. "WooHoo" & "You Lost Me" didn't even crack the Top 50 on Pop. Even Britney's biggest flops went Top 40 on radio. She could at least do that if she were cared for anymore. Just an example, BTW.
