Homophobia, racism and sexism are all the same thing as far as I am concerned. You don't get to choose your sexuality, race or gender so to discriminate against somebody because they're one of these things is pathetic.

Is homophobia still present in the US? I mean 13 year old boys over here like to use "you're gay","you're a fagat" or "**** sucker" to insult eachother but I think that's just them being immature. Besides that I wouldn't say there's much homophobia if none at all in my country?

Homophobia by definition does mean to be scared of homosexuals. However, most people labeled as homophobes are not scared of, but dislike homosexuals. These "homophobes" are obviously not calling themselves "homophobes."

Kevin I don't think its even fair to say what you said is so clear cut. You're making it seem like every homophobe is in fact gay when I don't think its fair to say that. People are afraid of what isn't "normal" as proven by history. And everyone's "normal" is different. There are probably many people who are unsure of their sexuality that may take it out on the gay community but its not everyone. Some peoples upbringings just make them the way they are. The whole nature versus nurture debate can apply here too.
Also the roots of the word "phobia" is an exaggerated fear. "Homo" is same, and in this instance same sex. The definition has evolved for sure though.

My sister is straight and she told me this gay couple made her relationship fall apart because they saw them holding hands in public. WHAT THE!?! Disgusting! I hope all straight couples don't break up because of this also.

Not only that but more and more people are getting divroces because of gay pride. Everytime you see a gay pride festival, 5 new married couples are filing for divorces. What a mess!!!! Homo's are sinful and they are ruining straight relationships!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

God wants at least 10 billion people on this Earth so we can actually consume all the resources like food and water for each person, otherwise all this food will just go to waste. Not ENOUGH people in this world, we don't have enough. We aren't tearing down enough trees either for LAND.

There is a difference between being scared of something and just not accepting something.

When you see a spider, if you are scared of them, what is your reaction? You run away and scream. You don't like spiders. You can say you are scared of spiders and it's a mixed feelings of security within yourself when you see one.

When you see a gay person, like very feminine, I highly doubt your reaction would be similar to the one of a spider. I think people are confusing the terms and their feelings. I think with this type of a situation you are either not accepting of these kinds of people or you just don't get it.

I get annoyed by the feminine gays out there, but by means of being scared of them, that is a different story and I'm not scared of them. I can talk to them like any other person, but feel slightly annoyed. A spider on the other hand, I couldn't. I would run away and dare not to look at one.
