What emotional breakdown? Rihanna waited for months to even speak publicly about the whole Chris Brown incident. She gave one interview to Diane Sawyer and that was sort of the end of it. I would say that her grieving process or emotional breakdown was very private given her celebrity status. People try and make the point that she's milking the whole ordeal with several tracks on Rated R, but in general the album doesn't really focus on the abuse itself. Most of the tracks are focused on the pain of having your heart broken or dealing a failed relationship. I think we can agree that both of those subjects are fairly standard, and would not qualify as some attempt to exploit her experiences for entertainment purposes.
And quite frankly, if Rihanna's primary concern had been to keep her fans entertained, wouldn't she have just recorded GGGB pt. 2?
I think the "Emotional Breakdown" comment was directed at BRITNEY considering Rainman's avatar but Still he doesn't make sense since I'm pretty sure Britney's breakdown had more to do with her personal issues than the though of entertaining her fans.

Ch... Speak for yourself. Beyoncé doesn't need to have an emotional breakdown, or have her ass beat to keep her fans entertained..
She sure doesn't. And what's funny to me is that Bey DID have a breakdown, but no one even remembers because she kept her life private and at the end bounced back as if nothing had ever happened.
And as for MTV, they stay posting sideways comments. Always trying to stir **** up.

As for the emotional breakdown, I was referring to Miss Spears..
We'll, I'm up for a Good Girl vs Bad Girl kind-of-thing album. Like, the album is divided to two parts:
CD 1: the Soul of Rihanna; and it will contain ballads, mid-tempos, love songs, and etc...
CD 2: Pop-Rihanna we all know and love.
Rihanna has sold 16 Million albums..... you where saying? dont be silly
Yeah, but apparently when Rated R didn't hit 1mil. in its second week the stans are calling her a singles artist (when the singles didn't even do as good).
