It was caught by a lightning.
A dead woman and many injured.

Yes it was landing in the island of San Andrés, Colombia

While one person died the rest of the passagers (around 300 and up) lived.
That's a miracle.

Well this is probably the first time San Andres has ever been on the news internationally. Most people have never heard of it and have no idea where it is, but its really such an amazing place and should have more recognition.

Aren't planes major lightning resistant? That has to be some freak lightning to have been brought down like that.

Yes, the lightning caught it when it was landing, i don't know why that happened :-/
