Looks like they are running a program on her account that search all tweets mentioning her name from people that are not following her and follow them. Or do it manually

It's funny how the Britney fans who were saying Gaga's followers are "fake" aren't saying anything about what Britney is doing all of a sudden to stay #1.

By comparing stans to Perez Hilton's like, I can only surmise you meant to call 90% of the stans "trashy." I think that is very unfair. There are a LOT of Gaga stans/fans not like that, just as surely there are a lot of Britney stans who are logical.
Each stan base has all type.

First: it's not only a Gaga thread. It's a "Twitter" thread, especially when filled with lies such as "Gaga is Twitter's Queen". Which she isn't. Not "at this moment", anywayz.

My post wasn't meant to demonstrate "maturity" or whatever - and I don't see a single bit of "I'm better than you" there. If anything, yours and some other Gaga fans posts are like that. I was just expressing an opinion. As for that, I said 90%. Last time I checked, that's not 100%. So if the shoe fits, the joke is on you. For what matters, not even 0,00001% fans of Gaga are here. So, once again: if the shoe fits...

On what concerns Madonna, you and others were saying she's bigger than Madonna ever was/is. Something that she NEVER will be. "Next Madonna"? There is no such thing, and also never will be. If I were you, I'd me more concerned for her to be "Lady Gaga". I guess when you start having a name for yourself instead of "oh, that's the next Madonna" or "the next Britney", then you're somebody. It's sad to see Gaga stans like *you* prefer and need to downsize someone like Madonna or Britney - or anyone else - in order to make Gaga more of a "phenomenon". I guess being in a certain stanbase's company during the last year has really left a bad mark on you guys.

You're the one who is angry here. Saying that the accounts that are following her are fake? Seriously?

Obviously there are some fake ones, Britney has them too. But it's not the reason she is on her way to becoming the most followed.

Every famous person does. You gotta admit the 'explosion' happening during the last 20 days is not, err, normal. Especially when Gaga is in the end of an album era.

But hey, those are my two last cents here. This will go nowhere, like I said, people see what they wanna see. Stick to your opinion and I will stick to mine.

Certainly not in mass. I don't see anyone discussing clone accounts on any Gaga forums that I frequent, and it's not exactly preposterous for Gaga to be the most followed person on twitter now is it? You should also remember that twitter is always growing and becoming more and more popular WW rather than just in the US and as she is bigger internationally than in the US then you have to factor that in too.

Her big increase in followers (gaining 25k/day) started the other week when she had Vanity Fair, VMA Noms & more all happening at once so it really doesn't seem suspicious to me at all.
