The dancer who originally was paired with Twich was injured, and since this was the most memorable Hip Hop number of thee season, and Alex was one of the best dancers this year too, Ellen wanted to pay homage to him.

Ellen was great, I remember her dancing to Calle Ocho with some of the season 5 contestants on her show, she was amazing in both dances.
