It will eventually be platinum. Nothing earth-shattering considering the enormity of Tk Tok was followed by a string of hit singles, but still very solid for pop.
Its sales overseas were a bit underwhelming.

I'm sick of people saying Ke$ha is flopping or underperforming. Yes, "Tik Tok" was huge but she is a new artist. It's like some of you expect this is 2003 when a new artist had a huge single, they automatically sell 500k+ first week of their album. No. That's where her digital sales come in. The fact her album is able to remain consistent, and reach Platinum soon with her millions of singles sold is impressive alone.
It's hilarious how people will bring up how huge "TT" was to display how big Ke$ha was for a new artist, but turn around and use it against her at the same time. Top Ten among best selling albums so far this year, and will be platinum. As Nicole said, the sales are solid for a Pop album, and by a brand new artist at that.
And RatedGaGa, this is the digital era hon. If you hadn't noticed. All of those hits you mentioned have sold millions, and that's what matters right now.

I agree with you Rico.
I mean, if people will go 2 years back they might remember that Katy Perry was at the same place, she had IKAG which was huge almost like TT and it was followed by Hot N Cold which was way bigger than BBB and she had a hard time reachin' 1m.
Album sales are not something you off easily now days, digital sales of singles are takin' place and people are having hard time to see it.
The Fame is one of the only albums that are selling alot but other than that, most albums sattle at 500k-1m in the US, with 2-3m WW.
The big guns might go to 6m WW and 2-3m in the USA like P!nk and Beyonce...I'm pretty sure that GaGa next album will do the same too, going 10m WW won't happen so many times for her or for anyone.

THE FAME MONSTER DELUXE is back in the Top 10 on Amazon best-sellers
THE REMIX is plummeting though, down to #17.

Well, the thing about Ke$ha is that she is in a hard place with her target audience right now. The teenage girls that listen to her are eager to buy her singles, but that audience has historically been known the pirate music a LOT and buy albums very rarely. Plus, she hasn't been able to expand her audience very much due to the limitations of her debut album. Although amazing and I bought it the first day available, "Animal" is strictly dance-pop, with not much room left to grow.
