This is so off topic and random but...... what do canadians think about Americans?? I know it sounds vague, but in terms of stereotypes about us as people, i'm very curious.

I visist a particular travel blog and the Blogger posed the question as to why so many Canadian backpackers travel arounf the world with the canadian flag stitched to their bag.. Shockingly (to me), they flooded in overwhelmingly stating that they didn't want to be mistaken for americans when abroad. And they were VERY serious about it

So what happened? Gays can marry in California now?

Eh, I'm sure most people thought that by 2010 everyone would have equal rights but what did they know Conservatives will always exist, their beliefs will change but the presence of far-right leaners will not. Maybe by 2020 they will all support gay marriage but other issues will divide us from them.

And I just want to clarify, conservatives are not inherently bad people. Ignorants are. It just so happens that quite a few ignorants are also very conservative.

Ignorant people are not bad people either... To be ignorant simply means to be uneducated. So niether social conservatives or generally ignorant people are bad so to speak. But thats not to say their delusional beliefs aren't harmful and don't lead to situations that negatively affect innocent people and general the general progress of society
