You use Justin Bieber's YouTube video views and sales in your excuse as to why he got snubbed, yet GaGa has over 1 BILLION internet video views and has outsold Justin Bieber by a landslide and yet you are saying that her nominations are only for attention for MTV. Right......you can't say that Justin deserves to be nominated because of his success and then say GaGa doesn't deserve it when she's had FAR MORE success than that boy.

Besides, the VMA nominations aren't based on success....they're based on the video.

Ciara didn't deserve any nominations, nothing she did this year was even relevant. The only thing Justin might have deserved another nomination in is Best Male, but it's not like he's really that talented......he's still a brand new artist.

Rihanna might have deserved a couple more also, but it's not as if she revolutionized the music video this year with her videos.......that was Lady GaGa.

first of all i didn't say lady gaga didn't deserve any
nominations,but they purposely gave her that much so it
could be "record breaking" and would create hype for the
show....BR deserved nominations but the ones for "video
phone" weren't deserved and i bet that video was nominated
only because of her name in it which proves my whole point....

and you're combining every single one of lady gaga videos
to get that one billion amount when most of those videos
were way before the nomination period for this year's show
started....justin bieber got the most watched video in time for
this year so if BR got all those nominations then justin deffo
deserves loads more and they robbed him....
i can't believe you said he has no talent have you
ever heard him sing live before? or seen his dancing skills
lately?! UGH,you are such a huge hypocrite to call

Lady Gaga is still (I don't know if someone already surpassed that mark after her) the only person EVER to reach a total of 1 BILLION views.

"bad romance" was the only true deserving video
she released in this time period and maybe even
"telephone" but the nominations for "video phone"
are a total joke and proves they wanted to cause hype

They gave her that much because she deserves all of the nominations, shut up. It just so happens that she got nominated in so many and broke the record.

It doesn't matter WHEN the video views came in to play, the fact of the matter is, you CAN'T bring up YouTube video views by Justin Bieber (#1 because his crazy tween fans probably just kept hitting refresh Avril style, and #2 because GaGa has TONS MORE video views as far as the worldwide internet goes, not just the YouTube site).

Yes I've heard his squeaking & cracking voice sing live before. His dance skills are poor man Chris Brown dance skills at best.....nothing more. He's not that good.

The VIDEO PHONE nominations aren't included in those 13 nominations...
But if you include them, it brings her total nominations to 18.

Singers say a lot of things about other singers, Rihanna says that Mariah Carey influences her too and I don't see her influence so that is very vacant

Everyone wants to do something out of the box nowadays with their music videos because GaGa recently re-revolutionized the music video industry.
