I think people have already beat the point to the ground that the comparisons don't make sense. What I *think* the author of the thread is trying to say is that the radio staples of the past 5 or so years are not played as often as some newer artists, which is pretty obvious... artists that are "hot" right now are obviously gonna get more spins than the recurrents, but to me, a recurrent is so much more honorary. To hear a song on the radio released five or more years ago says that it's memorable, unique, actually worth revisiting.
