You fail to realize that there are black people in many different countries including, the Caribbean, Europe, Austrailia, Latin America.
For example Merlin Santana is black:
But he's from the Dominican Republic, so according to you he's not black...?

You're wrong. I know that already. My point is that all of the colors are one thing. If things were either black or white, then there would be no Chinese, Mexican, Nigerian, French, etc. It's like this, is Daddy Yankee White because Puerto Rican is a nationality?
Merlin (already knew) is Dominican. Also Celia Cruz has black skin, but she's Cuban.

I know that there are races besides white and black. I'm not dumb.
It was ignorant of you to say that Rihanna is not black because she's from Barbados. In the Nicki Minaj thread you said she's not black, she's cuban, even though she's from Trinidad. If she was from Cuban though that wouldn't make her any less black.
I actually have family born and raised in Puerto Rico and they're black.

If only you knew that Trinidad is in Cuba.
Is M.I.A. Black because Sri. Lankan is a nationality then?
I get what you mean about being born somewhere, but whatever you're mom and dad is, you are. It's not determined by where you're born, it's who you come from. That's why I said Merlin is Dominican because his parents are, they're just not people who had came from there and lived in the DR like you said your family who are Black did/are doing in PR.

Exactly. The Nationality/Race thing can be a little confusing though so I don't blame her.

You're making it seem like you can only be one or the other.

Did anyone even imply M.I.A was black? You are whatever your mom and dad are yes, but that is determined by their race, not where they were born.
I'm really just curious how you came to the implication that M.I.A would be considered black. I hope you're not judging it off her skin color.

I pretty much said that it's determined WHO had you, NOT WHERE you're from.
I used M.I.A. (who is darker than Rihanna) as an example that everything is not black and white. If you consider Rihanna Black, then M.I.A. must be since you're going by skin color.

So you did base that example off her skin color. Btw, nobody was "considering" Rihanna black, the fact is that she IS black. This is because of her parents who are both black.
Nobody was just saying that because of her skin color. That would'ave been ignorant and also flawed logic since there are many races that have both light and dark skin tones.

That's why I said that you're basing people on color because that's what you're doing. You don't know if Ri's parents are Black just because you saw their skin color doesn't make it so. It's ignorant to go and say there's different skin tones in each race when you continue to make it be black or white (light or dark). Sri. Lankan, Barbadian, etc. doesn't matter to you because you don't classify that way.

It's not what I'm doing because Rihanna herself has said she was black, and her parents are as well. And it's not ignorant to say there's different skin tones in each race because there are. Are you saying for each race there's just ONE specific skin tone?
And Black and white =/= light and dark. Not every black person is dark-skinned.
You might want to stop while you're ahead because your posts are actually getting more offensive.

I already explained that I know how every race has diff skin tones. I was trying to explain to you how because of that, you can't say that person is either black or white. There's too many backgrounds out there for you to do that.

The post that you quoted with that had nothing to with Black or White. I simply said that many races have both light and dark skin tones and you took that as "Black or White" like that only refers to those two races.
You somehow think I'm the one making it black or white when that's really what YOU are doing.

Anyways congrats to Rihanna for all her achievements. She proved a lot of people wrong with how big she's become.

I really did explain. You are continuing with Barbadian not being a race, then Sri. Lankan, Latino, etc. are not races either. That makes Belinda/Pitbull White and Eva Longoria/Nina Sky/Rosie Perez Black.
You and LIL continue to sound as ignorant as the news making it seem as if only Mexicans are immigrants and Arab people are all terrorists because of 9/11. Oops I forgot... you will says they are not races. So what would you classify them then?
