Well we really don't know how Teenage Dream sounds so far. There was a review from some website that got to interview her and they were able to listen to Teenage Dream. They said it "picked up right where California Gurls left off". Sooo I'm guessing that it is actually fast paced, but the leak we have right now is an edited live version.

Well, if that's true it isn't that slow. I'm sure it will be amazing and will do equally amazingly on radio and in sales. We'll know for sure in 3 weeks. =)
Teenage Dream sounds amazing, I don't get the complaints.
Well, it sounds decent, but after a huge uptempo smash which is CG, to release a mid-tempo / ballad song is kinda disappointing. It's summer, so everybody's expecting more and more summer-pop songs like CG.
"Teenage Dream" does not sound THAT slow.... It has a cute, summery, mid-tempo feel. It's being released to radio in August and probably won't be HUGE by mid-late September...perfect mid-tempo Fall single. Another uptempo song would actually bore me...
Besides the live version sounds very acoustic, we'll see when the studio recording comes..reviews said it was "stomping" and follows up "Gurls" so..

I agree. Teenage Dream (the song) is really disappointing. After California Gurls, everyone would expect something as or even more epic.
People are judging the song of a live quality version :L Dont doubt katy, i havnt even liestened cause i dont want to judge anything till its cdq, And either way it will be amazing she always delivers .
