That's the entire nature of Glee; taking the work of an artist and transforming it to apply to one of the character's unique situations.
The Madonna episode wasn't about Madonna, it was about self-empowerment. Similarly, the Britney episode won't necessarily be about Britney herself, but I don't see why any fan would have a problem with this because they're still paying tribute to our favorite and her fabulous body of work.

no, she didn't have her own episode. she shared that episode with other artists. the only artist to have her own episode so far is Madonna and now Britney is getting her own.
