How do the streaming points work? Like how many video views is one point?

I would like to know this, too.

I always thought that maybe 1 view = 0.001 points, but that would be the "ideal" way, and Billboard's pointing system is very odd, so that's probably not what it is.

Is Mediabase not the official source counted for in the Billboard system?

And they don't count YouTube or VEVO video views at all, so that says so much on its own.

No, it's not. They use SoundScan, which we don't have access to. However, their panels are extremely similar. (Mediabase has maybe 2-5 more stations per format.)

I can understand YouTube because there are so many people who upload music videos on their accounts, but VEVO definitely needs to be added. Ever since YouTube added VEVO, official account uploads for music videos increased tenfold making it much easier to track a music video!
