Selena Gomez's new album title "A Year Without Rain"?
The video for "Round & Round" just came on MTV Hits and on the credits, it listed the album as "A Year Without Rain". Anyone who has MTV Hits should try to catch the video today so you can confirm what I'm saying.
I wonder if the album is titled after this song, which has been floating around the net as a supposed Rihanna demo?
It sounds a lot like the direction she's going in with Round & Round so I wouldn't be surprised if she got a hold of this and recorded it. And I can totally hear her voice on it.
This demo is really old.. I don't think that this song will be in album
Um... so? "Happy Hour" ended up on Cheryl Cole's album, "Control" ended up on BoA's album, and many many more. One of the songs on Iyaz's album uses the same EXACT production as that old-ass Keri Hilson demo from like 2 years ago. It doesn't matter how old the demo is. Why would you think it does? The production would've been changed I'm sure.
"Te Amo" leaked almost a year early and not only ended up on the album but it was released as A SINGLE.
The band's second studio album will be released on September 28, 2010. The sophomore effort will not only continue with the Dance-pop/Electronica style but will also incoporate a Reggae sound. Gomez said in an interview with Z100 New York that it will feature some songs that did not make it onto the first album and that the rest of the band will be much more included on it. When asked about plans for a new single the frontwoman said:
"I think we might go right into the second album so it might be something completely different. Hopefully we'll get the next single out before the summer because [we] have a new song that's just a really fun summer song and I want it out really soon!" The record's first single, "Round & Round", premiered on June 18, 2010. The accompanying music video, which was filmed in Budapest, premiered two days later. The single debuted at number 24 on Billboard's Hot 100, and 76 on the Canadian Hot 100. It also debuted at number 15 on Billboard's Digital Songs chart. The Scene is set to promote the album through mostly television appearances. They will appear on shows such as Late Show with David Letterman as well as the Today Show, among others.
On Tuesday, July 6th, MTV confirmed that the album will be titled A Year Without Rain.

According to MTV, Selena Gomez’s sophomore album will be titled “A Year Without Rain.” After airing Selena’s new music video for her song “Round and Round,” the music television network spilled the deets about the new album title, which is expected to drop from Selena and her band The Scene at the end of September 2010.
Kesha's song "Lucky" was recorded by them and is for this album. Listen to it if you don't know the song. I can hear Selena singing it in my head when I listen to it
In a recent interview with MTV, Gomez stated that the working album title is A Year Without Rain. "It's kind of got a more feel-good dance beat and feel," she said. "It's different, kind of shows my growth [in] music. I think if anything the lyrics are more powerful, in a way." In addition to the lead single "Round & Round" the album will feature a song called "Intuition" and the title track "A Year Without Rain". ] In the Z100 interview, Gomez said that there will be a song called "Rock God" which Katy Perry gave her and will be doing background vocals.
Selena's album got pushed!!!!!!!
A Year without Rain" Selena Gomez & the Scene album releases September 21st on Hollywood Records.
But how will they promote it?
The Single (Round and Round) was released on 22. June and the Album in two months. o.O.
A Year Without Rain is taken from one of the song titles that is currently on the bill to be on the album. Of course, they are still in the writing stages, so it might not make it to the LP in the end. I'm pretty sure it's a song Selena is writing with her producers, not an old Demo that never got picked up.
By the looks of things the second album will be more of the same; but that's perfectly OK with me!
I think releasing the single 3 months ahead of the album wasn't such a bad idea. "Round & Round" isn't exactly exploding on the radio and it's a slow grower like "Naturally". By the time the album gets released, the single should be near it's peak on radio or at its peak.
Kesha's song "Lucky" was recorded by them and is for this album. Listen to it if you don't know the song. I can hear Selena singing it in my head when I listen to it
I just listened. I like it and I can already hear Selena's voice on it.
See? If Selena is getting demos from Katy Perry and Ke$ha (both of which leaked some time ago), then it's not far fetched at all to think that maybe this old Rihanna demo got placed on Selena's album. Especially since "A Year Without Rain" is such an uncommon title for a song.
