I'm sorry but where are you getting these things from? The concentration camps have nothing to do with the fact it was a World War. It was a terrible thing but the fact that the war was fought all over the world made it a World War. And the US, England, France, Russia, Germany, Italy, and Japan were the major powers involved in the war...

Where did you get Africa, Oceania and Asia from? Those continents didn't get involved in this war at all.

The core of the war was fought in Europe, that was her point. That's where the war was won and lost. America was involved in the war but no fighting took place on the US mainland.

Africa - ever heard of Erwin Rummel aka the Desert Fox? Trust me they fought in North Africa.

Oceania - The US was island hopping all over Oceania to get close enough to Japan to drop the Nuclear Bombs.

Asia - JAPAN.

...I'm sorry but come on.

Japan was involved, they formed an Axis Alliance with Italy and Germany. Japan invaded China and attacked Pearl Harbor. They fought with the US in the Pacific. There was some fighting in Northern Africa so that's why he mentioned them, Oceania was part of the British Empire so naturally they were involved.

I would believe that only if it were true. If it weren't for the US stabilizing Japan, the war could have ended the other way around.

I agree, but most of the deaths felt among the Jewish citizens, and I'm talking about the war that Hitler created. Not the outcomes/effects of it. Most of the dead and most of the important things were in Europe itself.

How? Japan was not at war with Europe. The main force in the Axis Alliance was Germany. World War II was primarily a European war, and it was because of Russia that Germany ultimately lost.

How is stopping Japan from trying to take over the Pacific Ocean not important to you? Just because they weren't trying to invade Europe doesn't mean it doesn't matter

Most of the countrys, outside of Europe, interfered themselves with the war, but unasked.
Most things that happened outside Europe, which affected the people in Europe itself, were unnecessary and redundant. Many lives and souls could get saved, but other country's just had to start with interfering.

Because it wasn't related to Europe or Hitler or Germany at all. And I'm talking about the War in Europe, not outside of it.

Wait wait wait, why are we talking about WWII in a thread dedicated to 4th of July. At least talk about the Revolutionary war, which started it all

Some people were talking about Europe, who kinda created the U.S. If it wasn't for the Netherlands there wouldn't be New York (Harlem, etc).

World History was in 9th grade for me, so I'm a little rusty on that. I just finished African American history this year, and moving on to American History next year
