NEW YORK (Billboard) - We may have love affairs with all kinds of gimmicky divas, but it takes Christina Aguilera to remind us that singing really matters. That's not to say the pop star's latest release, "Bionic," is all about her voice, a muscular acrobat that's become more elegant with age. Combine it with the inventive work of a diverse cast of producers and you've got the best mainstream pop album of the year thus far. Sure, "Bionic" was made for a post-Lady Gaga world, where the comparisons are inevitable and the sales stakes are high. But from the fidgety intro of the dub-tastic opening title track (produced by Santigold collaborators John Hill & Switch) to punk-brat driving song "My Girls" (produced by Le Tigre, with a guest rap from Peaches) to Aguilera's gloriously restrained delivery on "All I Need" (Sia Furler co-produced the vocals), the 18-song set shows an artist confident enough to take direct cues from her tuned-in creative team. Because she's bold enough to do it her way, Aguilera maintains her reign.

Good for her.  Even though I don't really agree.
Funny though, if this were a negative album review on Bionic, this thread would probably already be closed.

I agree. Even though I HATE seeing some negative threads about her, some (I repeat SOME) of them didn't need to be closed.

I actually agree. I disliked the album at first, but I've grown to love it.

I know, it's just that Billboard hadn't reviewed the album till now and like Aliens & Rainbows once said, people don't go to the Bionic thread 24/7
But I'm sure if the review was negative, it would be posted anyways

But some of the threads created were really awful, like useless and just I would agree for them to be closed too, but maybe that should be done in other "situations" as well.

lmao, I guess this is directed towards me because of your post in the Ke$ha thread. I haven't been active in the forum for a while, so I doubt it was me closing those threads. It's alright, though, I can tell you're mad at me for some reason.
Anyway, brilliant review, the bolded line perfectly describes the album
