I've got a question. If your fave releases an album, where do you care about. How much it sells (quantity) or how good it is? (quality)

Some crap albums sell millions of copies

.. All I care about is great music, you give me that and I will buy your CD
I'm not gonna start naming and **** but there are plenty of artists that sell millions and millions of albums but that doesn't really matter to me if the music SUCKK

As for me, Quality. By far.

I would choose, Quality. Although, quantity is an important factor. If your fav's album does not sell, his or her reputation as a great artist suffers, even if the album is the greatest thing since Thriller. But quality usually sells albums, except in the case of Rated R

I'd like for my fave to sell one "quantity album", then the rest "quality" albums. So that it's like this:

1st album: Quality
2nd album: Quantity
3rd album-last album: Quality

Because if there isn't a quantity album somewhere in there, there's a big risk that it'll turn out like this:

1st album: Quality
2nd album: Quality
3rd album: Quality
4rd album: doesn't exist because record label gives no funds

Quality. And a shorter album with amazing songs leaves you begging for more, where an album with lets say 20 songs that are filler (no names) is extremely boring.

Quantity sometimes is only a reflect of how the label invests in the cd(Promotion, Payola, Ads)

Quality is the artist's effort in order to give it to you a good piece of art

Whoever picks "Quality" but goes on these other threads and start talking **** about another artists album sells or chart positions need to stop. :-/
