why cant all singles be released everywhere

'Hard' is one of my favorites from Rihanna, but this will flop hard. (no pun intended)

Because at that time, Russian Roullete flopped hard in US, they have to release Hard to save the album sales but Russian Roullette was still doing very good worldwide, that why they didn't release Hard worldwide. This was a very smart move

It's clear they just don't wanna spend money on another video (Fire Bomb, Photographs etc) and couldn't care less if this flops... who cares, it's the final single, they just want to keep her songs on radio so the album won't die completely on the charts.

And no, it wasn't a flop simply because it was never an official single, so top 40 was pretty good.

Honestly, the people on this forum are smarter than most of the record labels out there. First Xtina, now this.

I will ****ing KILL Def Jam, WTF is wrong with them. Photographs is BY FAR the best single worthy track left, coming in second would be Cold Case Love or The Last Song. but Def Jam refuses to even lift a finger as to tell us why they are not releasing it.

US - Te Amo or Photographs
UK - Rockstar 101 or Photographs

It's obvious they stopped caring though. I still can't comprehend how Def Jam placed her backseat to... Justin Bieber. Time for a new label.

I wouldn't call it a bad choice but there are better ones.

She shouldn't got with a single each area, just one WW.

Hard could do well in the UK, it had no radio airplay when the video was sent to the music channels earlier on this year. It will have the feeling of an "old" song to some people, but it could do well. It's a shame they waited so long to make it an official single, that could be detrimental to its success.

Rockstar 101 and Te Amo should have never been released as singles in first place. R101, which had no potential at all, and Te Amo, which is a two years old leak.

That what DJ should've done in the first place:

UK - Fire Bomb
US - Photographs

Then after they both peaked, switch the releases. If FB flopped in the US, it would be fine since LTWYL will do it work.

Fire Bomb - for UK, because it wil do great on itunes.

Photographs - for US, because it's really radio friendly song, very BEP style!

Ugh. A second-hand single. The video is atrocious and the song is boring.
