Scottish rockers Snow Patrol have a plan and that's to release their sixth studio album sometime in 2011. They will commence recording in October. The next album will follow up 2008's A Hundred Million Suns, which sort of came and went after the mainstream success garnered by Eyes Open, their breakthrough which featured "Crashing Cars." Drummer Jonny Quinn told The Daily Record, a Scottish paper, that the new album would find the band going in a new direction. Quinn wasn't firm about a release date, merely saying that it'll be out after February but before July, so either spring or early summer! Vocalist Gary Lightbody also revealed that he has been writing new songs while outside, immersed in nature, near the sea. He lives in Northern Ireland presently.
