Ironically, its ascension up the charts is reminding me of how Airplanes moved up the charts when it was first released.
It took a little while for it to go top ten, but once it did, it shot up to #2. I see something identical happening with LTWYL. It won't be able to budge CG most likely.

It does effect the total sales. Song that reaches the #1 position on iTunes gets a boost solely because of that. LTWYL will probably never reach the #1 because there are three versions charting high.

What does Alejandro have to do with anything? The song is still #12 & has already reached platinum status. I'm confident it can go double platinum as well.
I'm also confident LTWYL will begin to pick up steam. I imagine a Top 3 peak.

Alejandro was the third single off a multi-platinum selling album. Eminem's album has just been released, there's a big difference. Plus, as you have already mentioned this single is being supported by both Rihanna's and Eminem's fans.
